BOONE COUNTY EVENTS

Boone County Spring Cleanup

Properly dispose of unwanted household items for free at the Boone County Spring Cleanup being held April 20 – April 23 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. There will be two sites: one at the Boone County Public Works Department on Maplewood Drive and the other at the Union Pool off Old Union Road. Liquid waste, hazardous waste, paint, dirt and concrete will not be accepted. This event is for Boone County residents only.

Cleanup Days in Boone County

Boone County residents can dispose of unwanted items and trash for free on designated “Cleanup Days”! This new program, which is sponsored by Boone County Fiscal Court and the Public Works Department, will be held the last Saturday of each month beginning May 28 and ending September 24. Items such as appliances, furniture, electronics, trash and tires (four per resident) will be accepted and can be dropped off at the Boone County Public Works Department on Maplewood Drive from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Liquid waste, hazardous waste, paint, dirt and concrete will not be accepted.

City of Florence Spring Cleanup Week

The City of Florence is hosting and participating in a number of cleanup events this spring. These events include a drop-off dumpster program, computer and electronics recycling, a curbside pickup, document destruction and the Great American Cleanup.

2016 Great American Cleanup

Join the cities and communities of Boone County on Saturday, April 30, from 8:30 a.m. until noon, in celebrating and working the Great American Cleanup! The Great American Cleanup is a national effort coordinated by Keep America Beautiful and is centered on cleaning, beautifying and improving communities. The cities, businesses and residents of Boone County have come together to celebrate this event and encourage community pride every day of the year. Volunteers will help clean riverbanks and other areas in Boone County.

CAMPBELL COUNTY EVENTS

Campbell County Spring Cleanup

The Campbell County Spring Cleanup will be held April 1 – 3 for Campbell County residents. Items will be collected from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday at the following locations: Pendery Park, Campbell County Police Station and the Campbell County Transportation Department. Items that will be accepted are as follows: junk, general trash, scrap metal, household appliances, tires, empty propane tanks (up to 20 lbs.) car batteries and electronics. Please note: Pendery Park and the Police Station will only accept general trash and debris. Paint, oil, antifreeze or household batteries will not be accepted at any location.

KENTON COUNTY EVENTS

Kenton County Spring Cleanup

Got junk? Here’s your chance to get rid of it for free! Properly dispose of your unwanted items at the Kenton County Spring Cleanup being held April 1 and 2. Items will be accepted at Kenton County Public Works from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and at Ryland Latonia Lakes Piner from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Each location will be accepting items both days.

2016 Great American Cleanup

Join the City of Covington on Saturday, April 30, from 9 a.m. until noon, in celebrating and working the Great American Cleanup! The Great American Cleanup is a national effort coordinated by Keep America Beautiful and is centered on cleaning, beautifying and improving communities. You can sign up as a group or an individual, you can manage your own site or join another. All volunteers are invited for a free lunch at the after party. Trash bags, gloves and water will be supplied at all sites.
